A perfect Hampshire country pub in Fleet

Though it looks 200 years old, the De Havilland Arms in Elvetham Heath was built in 2003 and was named after Geoffrey de Havilland – the British aviation innovator who, in 1912, used the nearby Fleet Pond to test his revolutionary ‘float planes’ (or as we know them today, seaplanes).

The farmhouse design, with a beautiful terrace and garden outside and roaring log fires, flagstones and oak beams inside, as well as the programme of regular events (both in and out) make the pub perfect for all seasons.
