The Crown Hotel
A historic Dorset Georgian coaching inn
Steeped in history (it was one of 21 stops for fresh horses on the Trafalgar Way – the route that carried news of the Battle of Trafalgar from Falmouth to London), the Crown is a wonderful example of a charming Dorset coaching inn.
It boasts 27 lovely bedrooms, beautiful terraces and gardens, as well as a historic dining room, relaxed pantry and a sumptuous oak-panelled common room – not to mention the best bar in Dorset! The Crown caters for all occasions, particularly the separate Sealy Suite (with its own walled garden), which offers a private function room, ideal for conferences, weddings and events.
