The World’s End named ‘Supreme Champion’ at the Managed House Awards
The World’s End in Patching has been voted ‘Supreme Champion’ in the recent Hall & Woodhouse (H&W) Managed House Awards, overcoming competition from H&W’s other pubs across the south.
The Supreme Champion Award is awarded annually to the managed house within the Hall & Woodhouse family that gains the highest overall score across a range of different categories. These include food and beer quality, team training, sales levels, marketing and going the extra mile to make their guests’ day.
General Manager of The World’s End, Chris Gilmour, commented: “I am so proud of the entire team at The World’s End and it is testament to them that our pub has been recognised as ‘Supreme Champion’ in the Managed House Awards. Through one of the toughest years in H&W’s history, every single member of our team has worked hard and shown incredible dedication to their work. Winning ‘Supreme Champion’ not only made my day, but may have made my year.”
The results were announced during an online awards event, where The World’s End was awarded with its title.
Hall & Woodhouse Managing Director, Matt Kearsey, added: “The World’s End in Patching is an incredible pub, run by an incredible team and is a worthy winner of our ‘Supreme Champion’ crown. Chris and the team at The World’s End should be proud of themselves, it is no mean feat winning this title when up against so many other great H&W pubs!”
