The Association is set up to encourage local involvement in allotment gardening.  Our members are helpful, friendly and willing to provide new and existing members with advice and guidance to grow flowers and vegetables, developing their plots as they go.

We are a self-administered volunteer group working with Mansfield District Council and Welbeck Estates to manage and administer our allotment sites within the village.

Our sites are: Birding Street, Common Lane/Vale Road, Kingsley, Longyards (off Slant Lane), Northfield, Park Hall, Priory, Whinney Hill.  Allotment rents for 2003/04 are a maximum of £13 per plot.

Each allotment site has representatives on the Committee and allotment holders can raise issues to help improve the sites and make allotment gardening a more enjoyable experience for all.

Our existing fees for 2003/04 are £1.50 and membership entitles you to public liability insurance, access to the Annual Flower/Vegetable Show and trips to places like Harrogate, Southport Shows and affiliation to the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners Ltd that provides a list of benefits, advice and guidance to us as a Member Association.
